Terms & Conditions – Maldives Diving & Yoga Retreat (May 23–31, 2025)
1. Booking & Payment
To secure your spot, a deposit is required upon booking.
For bookings made before January 1, 2026:
You have the option to pay in three instalments:First payment: one-third (1/3) of the total retreat price at the time of booking
Second payment: due by February 1, 2026
Final payment: due by April 1, 2026
For bookings made after January 1, 2026:
Payments will be divided into two installments:First payment: 50% of the total retreat price at the time of booking
Final payment: 50% due by April 1, 2026
Failure to complete payment by the stated dates may result in cancellation of your booking without refund.
All payments are non-transferable.
2. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made 90 days or more before the retreat start date (before February 22, 2026) will receive a 90% refund.
Cancellations made between 60 and 90 days before the retreat (February 22–March 24, 2026) will receive a 40% refund.
Cancellations made within 60 days of the retreat (after March 24, 2026) are non-refundable.
If the retreat is cancelled by the organisers due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a full refund.
However, the organisers are not responsible for additional costs such as flights or external bookings.
3. Participant Requirements
Participants must be at least 18 years old.
By booking, you confirm that you are physically and mentally capable of participating in all scheduled retreat activities, including diving, snorkeling, and yoga sessions.
4. Health and Travel Insurance
All participants are required to have personal travel and health insurance, covering:
Medical emergencies and evacuation
Diving activities and accidents
Trip cancellations and delays
The organisers are not responsible for medical expenses incurred during the retreat.
5. Liability Waiver
By joining the retreat, you acknowledge that participation is at your own risk.
The organisers and their partners are not liable for any injuries, illnesses, accidents, or damages incurred during the retreat.
6. Travel Documents & Visas
Participants are responsible for ensuring valid passports, visas, and travel documentation.
Most nationalities receive a 30-day visa on arrival in the Maldives.
The organisers are not liable for denied entry, travel restrictions, or missing documentation.
7. Photography and Media Consent
By participating, you grant the organisers permission to capture and use photos and videos for promotional purposes.
If you prefer not to appear in media materials, please notify us before or at the beginning of the retreat.
8. Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to act with respect toward fellow guests, staff, and the local community.
Any disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behaviour may result in removal from the retreat without refund.
9. Use of Personal Information
Your personal data will only be used for retreat-related communication and logistics.
It will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
10. Responsibility of Organisers
While every effort is made to provide a safe and seamless experience, the organisers are not responsible for circumstances beyond their control — including, but not limited to, weather conditions, flight cancellations, political instability, or natural events.
11. Accommodation and Room Sharing
Accommodation is based on the package selected during booking.
If you prefer a private room, please select the corresponding package.
If you book a shared room as a solo traveler, you’ll be paired with another participant of the same gender.
All room allocations are subject to availability.
12. Transportation and Transfers
Participants must arrange their own international flights to Velana International Airport (Malé, MLE).
The return speedboat transfer between Malé and Dhigurah is included in the package and organised by the retreat team.
Detailed transfer instructions will be provided prior to arrival.
13. Activity Participation
All scheduled activities, such as yoga sessions, dives, snorkel excursions, and local experiences, are included in the price.
Participants can choose between diving or snorkeling packages depending on their preference and certification level.
Activities may be adjusted due to weather or ocean conditions at the organisers’ discretion.
14. Dietary Requirements
Daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Meals combine local Maldivian and international cuisine, with vegetarian and pescatarian options available.
Please notify us in advance of any allergies or dietary restrictions so we can accommodate your needs.
As Dhigurah is a local island, alcohol is not permitted.
15. Communication and Emergency Contact
Participants must provide an emergency contact before departure.
Our team maintains open communication throughout the retreat for any urgent needs or assistance.
16. Force Majeure
The organisers are not liable for cancellations, delays, or changes caused by events outside their control, such as extreme weather, strikes, health outbreaks, or government restrictions.
17. Disclaimer
This agreement is governed by and shall be construed according to the laws of Denmark.
Nothing in this agreement limits or excludes the organisers’ liability for:
Death or personal injury caused by gross negligence
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
Any matter where exclusion would be unlawful
Subject to applicable law, the organisers are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including but not limited to:
Delays, sickness, or injury
Loss of property
Missed flights or transport
Errors in documentation or confirmation
The organisers may cancel a participant’s booking at their discretion due to illness, illegal conduct, or incompatible behaviour.
In such cases, no refund will be issued.
18. Agreement to Terms
By booking your spot on the Maldives Diving & Yoga Retreat (May 23–31, 2026), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
19. VAT and Wellness Classification
This retreat is organised and sold by Rive Gauche Rhythm-Based Yoga Studio (Copenhagen, Denmark) as a yoga and wellness service.
The retreat is offered as a holistic experience combining yoga, diving, nature, and mindfulness practices.
In accordance with Danish VAT legislation, the retreat is not classified as a package holiday or travel service.
All third-party services (accommodation, diving, transfers) are subcontracted, and participants are invoiced solely for the overall wellness experience as defined by the program.
